]]> The Pan African Parliament’s cast the spotlight on fighting in South Sudan with an MP from the troubled country telling continental lawmakers there can be no development in Africa’s newest country until the conflict ends.

Agnes Lasuba blames the rebels for not being part of the peace dialogue.

The Pan African Parliament condemned the weekend truck bombing in Mogadishu that killed more than 300 people.

MPs have looked at conflict in  Africa – particularly Somalia, South Sudan, Libya and the  Democratic Republic of Congo.

Catherine Mwangi of the Africa Union told the debate in Midrand that the continental body’s concerned about how to end African wars.

Focusing on South Sudan, the PAP says the strife will not end, if leaders continue to put personal interests ahead of the nation.
