]]> The Alliance Francaise of Pretoria opened its Lafarge stage on May 30.

Already a cultural hub of the capital city, the facility sponsored by the French specialist cement maker will be an added draw card for Alliance.

Over the years, representatives of the diplomatic community, students at Alliance and members of the Francophone community have been drawn to performances by African and local artistes at the premises on Rivier Street.

The stage will enable the diverse Sunnyside community to enjoy these attractions.

Friday’s opening by Lafarge CEO Thierry Legrand included a performance by acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter Nibs van der Spuy.
