]]> British and American drug makers are about to test a two-shot vaccine against Ebola.

Although the current Ebola outbreak is on the wane, drugmakers are working on fighting to stop a recurrence claim another 10 000 plus lives.

British company GlaxoSmithKline is using a drug already under clinical trial in Africa.

American counterpart Emergent BioSolutions is supplying a new kind of booster.

Phase one of the clinical study will be at Oxford University.

Medical experts are still debating whether it is better to have a single or double-shot vaccine that undoubtedly provides greater protection but makes immunisation more complicated and difficult.

Danish firm, Bavarian Nordic currently has the most advanced booster vaccine.

But it has to be grown in chicken eggs, making production difficult.
