]]> Bechir Saleh , the man know as Gadaffi’s banker, is in intensive care at a Johannesburg hospital after being shot last Friday.

South African authorities have not confirmed the attack on the man who invested more than $1 billion of Libyan oil money here.

As head of the Libyan Africa Portfolio, Bechir Saleh travelled the world investing Muammar Gadaffi’s oil money for the sovereign wealth fund.

He left the country after the 2011 killing of Gadaffi and briefly took shelter in France before coming to South Africa.

He is wanted by Interpol and the French authorities.

He was attacked by five men at his Johasnnesbu.g home.  One shot entered his stomach.

The motive for the attack is unknown.
