]]> In Kenya’s border town of Mandera, 12 people have died in an attack by Islamist terrorists.

Christians in the mainly Muslim town are regularly targeted byAl Shabaab fighters  from neighbouring Somalia.

Kenyan police say the terrorists used explosives in the overnight attack.

They appeared to focus on a guest house in what is the latest onslaught on Christians traveling through the mainly Muslim area.

Pro Al Shabaab media said  the terrorists had specifically  rounded on Christians in  Mandera.

The  victims include 10 performers who were there to promote books used in the local school curriculum.

Earlier this month Al Shabaab killed six Christians in Mandera, saying they are chasing  non Muslims from the area.
