Bosch Ntaganda handed himself in to the US embassy in neighboring Rwanda three years ago with authorities hunting him down for excesses perpetrated by his Patriotic Front for the Liberation of Congo 14 years ago.

He stopped eating because he claimed he was not getting a fair trial and was not getting access to his family.

His lawyer says he’ll see his family tomorrow.

The court had ruled that his trial would have to continue in his absence.
