British premier Theresa May has told the House of Common it is a matter of deep regret that Sir Kim Darrock has felt it necessary to step down.

Prime Minister Theresa May has reiterated her unqualified support for Britain’s Ambassador to Washington Sir Kim Darrock who says US President Donald Trump radiates insecurity and calls his administration clumsy and inept.

The leak of this confidential cable and May’s assertion that her envoy was perfectly within his right making such a frank assessement has prompted Trump to call Sir Kim a very stupid guy with whom he will have nothing more to do.

Sir Kim, who retires this Christmas, feels he cannot continue doing his job effectively in this atmosphere.
