Abdelaziz Bouteflika has not given a date for new elections he says will take place after a reshuffle of his executive and  conference  on political and constitutional reform.

Reformists say his decision not to seek a further term must be a first step to bringing in a new order.

This will mean changes in the ruling party, military, bureaucracy and business circles.
