]]> All eyes are on Madgascar as Tropical Cyclone Enawao gains strength and heads across the southern Indian Ocean.

The strongest tropical cyclone to hit the island in three years  is due to make landfall on  the island state tomorrow.

Tropical Cyclone Enawo is gravely threatening Madagascar.

Conditions are ripe for quick intensification before Enawo closes in on land.

Storm-surge flooding, rainfall flooding, mudslides and damaging winds are all threats.

Currently the equivalent of a category two hurricane, Enawo is around 400 miles east of the northeast coast of Madagascar.

Madagascar residents have been urged to take necessary precautions as impacts from the dangerous cyclone will begin to be felt as early as this morning in northeastern parts of the country.
