Senegalese Fatma Samoura says her first order of business is to fill senior positions including chief financial officer and chief compliance officer.

Fatma  Samoura was named to the job last month, in a surprise move by FIFA president Gianni Infantino, seeking to fix football’s governing body’s reputation since over taking over from the disgraced Sepp Blatter.

Fifty-four-year-old Samoura worked at the United Nations for more than 20 years, mostly  in Africa.

Her two predecessors as general secretary, Jerome Valcke and Markus Kattner, were both sacked over corruption allegations.

Valcke is the target of a criminal investigation in Switzerland, along with Blatter.

Samoura says boosting morale at FIFA is crucial.
