]]> Zambia’s first President Kenneth Kaunda is spending his third day in the country’s largest hospital following what doctors are calling minor complaints.

Doctors at the University Teaching Hospital sayKaunda underwent physiotherapy and was helped to sleep.

Zambia’s Vice President Inonge Wina visited the statesman who was shown in television pictures sitting in a chair and chatting with the visitors.

Zambia’s Health Minister Chilufya Chitalu says the medical personnel are also conducting general medical checkups on Kaunda.

He promises to keep the public informed of developments.

His latest report says former President Kenneth Kaunda’s condition is stable.

Kaunda was last admitted to hospital in April in 2015.
