The European Union observers team has given the thumbs up to this week’s Kenyan election.

They says they’ve found no signs of local or national manipulation of results.

The EU observers findings in Kenya bear out that nation’s electoral commission denying opposition claims that Tuesday’s poll was hacked.

They praise the way the Kenyan public made their voices heard through their votes.

There’s  some criticism of preparations for the election where the EU observers found the electoral commission had not been given enough time to complete a very complex task.

The EU team also says its imperative to properly investigate the murder last week of electoral commission official Chris Msando

Kenyans have been waiting two days for the official results of the election.

Provisional results put President Uhuru Kenyatta comfortably ahead of opposition leader Raila Odinga.

One person has died in post-election protests in Kenya.

The country’s electoral commission rejects opposition claims that the computerized results system has been hacked.

Former US Secretary of State John Kerry, heading an international observer team to Kenya’s elections has appealed for calm and patience as the nation waits for official results.

Provisional results are giving President Uhuru Kenyatta a healthy lead over opposition stalwart Raila Odinga.

Fighting to avoid becoming a four-time loser, Odinga tells a press conference the results have been hacked and are a complete fraud.

He says the identity of murdered election official Chris Msando’s been used to create errors in the commission’s data base.

Odinga maintains the election is being stolen from him as it was in 2013.
