Ambassador Jacques Baril says donors will be kept informed of how every cent has been spent

Africa for Haiti in Solidarity is the brainchild of Ambassador Jacques Baril who, before becoming Haiti’s envoy, worked at feeding the homeless and helping underprivileged children.

He believes the solidarity fund should stretch beyond the immediate assistance from governments and NGOs who’ve already left his country.

“We find that is the small projects that come after the media has gone that stay and are of great value to the people,” he says.

Money will be used to rebuild churches, schools and social centers which are the bedrock of local communities.
