]]> All South Africans caught up in the Nepalese earthquake that killed more than 3 200 people have been accounted for.
Most are trying to get home quickly.
This isn’t possible for climber Saray Khumalo trapped but safe on Mount Everest. She’s unable to descend after avalanches destroyed equipment and a safe path.

It is not clear whether Errol Goodman and six members of the Johannesburg Hiking Club were able to get on a flight out of Nepal overnight.
They were among people sheltering outside. Severe aftershocks prevented their going into buildings.
Eighteen girls from St Mary’s DSG in Pretoria are preparing to be brought home by the rescue group Gift of the Givers who are hoping to get in tomorrow with a planeload of medical and rescue equipment and personnel.
