Hassan Hanafi admits to killing one journalist whilst working with the terrorists between 2007 and 2011.

His job was to identify possible targets and to warn journalists reporting unfavorably on Al Shabaab.

He told the military court his execution would not stop the killing of journalists in Somalia.

The Committee to Protect Journalists says 25 reporters have been murdered in Somalia these past  nine  years.

Hanafi was once a household name in the country before joining Radio Andalus, al-Shabaab’s mouthpiece in Somalia.

He was arrested in neighbouring Kenya last year.
