There has, however, been no claim of responsibility for the worst terror attack the north African country has seen.

Tunisian prime minister Habib Essid says his intelligence had flagged Yaasin Labidi who died along with Hatem Kachnaoui after firing on tourists leaving this busses yesterday to visit the Bardo Museum.

Essid says the attack was clearly aimed at Tunisia’s tourism industry.

He says Tunisia’s being assisted internationally in learning more about the attackers.

Police are hunting for three other terrorists believed to to have fled the scene.

On social media, Islamic State aligned groups have praised the attacks.

Two cruise ships whose passengers had been among the victims pulled out of the port of Tunis early today without 21 of the passengers that were aboard when they entered.
