For the second successive year the country’s the worst affected by conflict displacement.

The Norwegian Refugee Council’s Ulrika Blom describes what’s happening  in the DRC as a mega crisis.

She says it’s a race against time to save the four million people displaced in the DRC and the seven million struggling to feed themselves.

New fighting between militias, the renewal of existing battles  and the delay in elections is displacing more people in the DRC than in Syria, Yemen or Iraq.

The Norwegian body’s Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre says 5 500 people have fled their homes in the DRC every day this year.
