The resolution by the 15-nation powerhouse says the conflict’s  hampering the teams responding to the Ebola outbreak that’s killed at least 170 people.

The  UN Security Council resolution say World Health Organisation and  International Red Cross teams  fighting Ebola in the eastern DRC are affected by the conflict between armed groups at least three or four times a week.

The council says this is severely hampering  response efforts and facilitating the spread of Ebola in the Congo and the region.

The resolution expresses great concern that the deadly haemorrhagic virus could spread across the Congo border into Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.
