Four people have died trying to prevent the kidnapping of at least 80 people – most of them children – in Cameroon.

Chad, which is another country bordering Nigeria, has deployed soldiers to help Cameroon in the fight against Boko Haram

In previous abductions in Cameroon by Boko Haram the victims have been prominent people or foreigners held for ransom.

The militants arrived in the pre-dawn dark yesterday

Four score houses were razed before they left in the direction of Nigeria.

Cameroon’s Information Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary confirmed the attacks but says it’s not possible to give an exact figure for the number of hostages taken while investigations are underway..
