Peace brokers say Machar’s failure to do this as scheduled last Monday is endangering the truce they mediated.

The Juba administration and rebels who’ve been locked in a three-year civil war say they’ve reached a deal to let rebel leader Riek Machar return to the capital to form a unity government.

Rebel spokesman James Gatdet Dak says Machar’s now expected to fly into Juba today.

The delay was caused by Machar wanting to bring with him more troops and equipment than stipulated in the agreement signed last August with his rival President Salva Kiir.
