]]> The late Muammar Gadaffi’s banker remains in a critical condition at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg after being shot last week.

Police are working on theory that Bachir Saleh was specifically targeted by five men who ambushed him on his way home from OR Tambo Airport.

Bachir Saleh, who’s been sheltering in South Africa since 2012 was formerly head of the Libyan Africa Portfolio.

He invested more than $1 billion some of the assassinated Libyan dictator’s oil money in South Africa.

Saleh was shot in the stomach in the ambush.

His driver, who was also injured,  got him to his Johannesburg home from where he was taken to hospital.

He has recently expressed the wish to get involved in uniting disparate factions in Libya.
