]]> President Uhuru Kenyatta blames political insiders for two terror attacks on coastal towns in his country that the Somali group Al Shabab claims responsibility for.

Kenyatta insists the Islamic extremists are not behind the two attacks that have killed more than 60 people.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s shock announcement comes in a nationally televised address.

He says local political leaders inside Kenya are behind what calls ethnically motivated violence.

The Somali terror group al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for two nights of attacks near the tourist resort island of Lamu that targeted non-Muslims.

The newer attack came in Majembeni in which 10 people died.

The village is next to Mpeketoni, where four dozen Christian men were slaughtered on Sunday night and Monday morning.
