]]> A Malian migrant who shinned four stories up a Paris apartheid block to save a child dangling from a balcony has been treated as hero by President Emmanuel Macron and promised a sympathetic hearing if he applies for French citizenship.

Mamoudou Gassama, who’s been dubbed Spiderman for his agility, has also been offered a job with the Paris fire brigade.

Mamoudo Gassama, who arrived in France some months ago via the difficult illegal migrant route, was going to a restaurant to watch the European club football championship.

He heard car horns and saw the four-year-old hanging by his finger tips.

Later he told French President Emmanuel Macron that he has no regard for his own safety when he climbed the four storeys bare handed in 30 seconds to save the child.

In addition to the promise of citizenship and a job, the president gave him  a medal and certificate for courage and dedication .
