Islamist terrorists have killed ten United Nations peacekeepers in an attack on a northern Mali town.

25 Chadian troop were injured in the raid by Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

The jihadis say their attack is in response to the visit to Chad by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between their countries.

It shows yet again that the blue-helmets operation in Mali, known as MINUSMA is the most dangerous peacekeeping mission on the planet.

Chadian President Idris Deby, who visited Jerusalem last November, says Netanyahu’s visit does not change their stance on the  Palestinian issue.

Israel is bent on finding allies in the developing world that historically support the Palestinian cause.

Tunisian tennis player Malek Jaziri has thrown a match rather than play an Israeli in the next round of aFrench tournament.

Three ago Jaziri was ordered by Tunisian authorities not too go on court against an Israeli – earning the country’s explusion from the 2014 Davis Cup.

Malek Jaziri won the first set 6-3 in the first round of the tournament in Montpellier.

He then withdrew, citing an injury.

Had he won, his second round opponent would have been a Israeli Dudi Sela

In Australia last month, Jaziri withdrew from the doubles where he would have faced an Israeli opponent.

Arab countries have for decades observed boycotts against Israeli athletes in protest over the situation in Palestine.

Tunisia’s tennis federation was banned from the 2014 Davis Cup after it ordered Jaziri to withdraw from a match against an Israeli opponent at a tournament in Uzbekistan.

President Jacob Zuma’s welcomed his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas to the Union Buildings in Pretoria where they’ve gone into talks.

The presidents are due to give a joint press conference later where they’ll sign a memorandum of understanding on the future of Palestine and South Africa’s cooperation with it.

Mahmoud Abbas has been to South Africa before.

But this is his first official visit.

South Africa belongs to the group of countries advocating the recognition of the state of Palestine living side by side with Israel.

It sent special envoy to meet with both sides in a bid to secure an end to the bloody two-month war between Israel and Hamas that left thousands dead in Gaza earlier this year.
