Trump’s promised to withdraw the United States from the Paris agreement in his first 100 days in power.

The 192 countries at the COP22 summit in Marrakesh are following the US presidential campaign as closely as are  Americans across the Atlantic.

Executive secretary of the UN Framework Conference on Climate Change Patricia Espinosa plays a straight bat to the prospect of a Trump victory.

“We are ready to work with whoever wins the Presidency in the United States. Their participation is crucial to the Paris Agreement,” she says

Climate change activists face enough challenges putting the Paris agreement into practice  without having the fear of having their years of negotiations Trumped at the last minute.
