Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Lindiwe Sisulu has congratulated Mozambique on completion of the Africa’s longest suspension bridge.

Drive over Maputo Bay cuts the travelling  time from Kosi Bay in South Africa to Mozambique capital from six hours to 90 minutes.

The R10,8 billion China-financed suspension bridge will boost tourism to Mozambique. The toll will cost R50 in either direction.

Foreign minister Lindiwe Sisulu says the 3km-long structure will be of particular benefit to South African

Sisulu says South Africa’s grateful the Mozambique government is determined to ensure there is all the infrastructure that will make it possible for the two countries to trade with each other.
