President Omar Al-Bashir tells the BBC he will become an ex president in 2020 because the current term he is serving will be his last.

Bashir says he travels the world freely – as South Africans experienced last year – because the 2008 International Criminal Court indictment against him for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the conflict ridden Western Sudanese region of Darfur is meaningless.

He denied allegations of abuses perpetrated by Sudanese forces in renewed violence in Darfur.

He says  UN figures that  2,5 million people have been displaced in Darfur since 2003 are grossly exaggerated.
