]]> The charity Save The Children says healthcare demands are outstripping supply in the fight against the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

After the first case of the disease is recorded in the United States, Ebola is starting to impact on the bottom line of companies.

Save The Children says five people an hour are being infected with Ebola virus in Sierra Leone.

A crisis meeting being organised in London to reach a global response to the disease that’s infected over 7 000 people, killing more than 3 000 of them.

Shares in drug companies like Tekmira Pharmaceuticals preparing Ebola vaccines and cures soared as did those of companies selling protective clothing worn by healthcare workers.

However the stocks of airlines service the infected region took a knock on the New York Exchange.
