The first man to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States has taken a turn for the worst.

Thomas Duncan is fighting for his life at a hospital in Dallas Texas where his condition is described as critical.

Thomas Duncan, who caught the Ebola virus in his native Liberia, won’t be treated with experimental ZMapp.

That’s proved the most promising medication in dealing with the Ebola outbreak that’s  infected over 7 500 people and killed more than 3 400 of them.

However, the drug’s run out and new doses won’t be ready  until next year.

Massachusetts  doctor and missionary Richard Sacra who was successfully treated for the disease he contracted while working in Africa has been readmitted to hospital.

Doctors says it’s for a respiratory infection and there’s no danger of a recurrence of the Ebola virus.

Armed US Police are enforcing the isolation of family members of a man critically ill with Ebola fever in a Dallas hospital.
They say they’ve been forced to do this because the family refused to say home while authorities seek to identify the estimated 100 people the man came into contact with since arriving from Liberia nine days ago.
Ends intro
Liberian authorities say they’re suing Thomas Eric Duncan who left that country declaring he’d had no contact with Ebola victims.
It’s been revealed he carried sick relatives to hospital,in a wheelbarrow.
Duncan sought help for two days after falling sick in Texas.
He’d arrived there after flying on two airlines from Liberia with long layovers in Brussels and Washington.
