The Presidency says they reviewed bilateral cooperation between their countries  and the latest regional, political and security developments in Africa.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni issued a statement before leaving  Kampala that he would be in South Africa for two days.

Evidently he’s expecting the usual bells and whistles of an official visit.

The brief statement from the Presidency in Pretoria unusually makes no mention of a media conference following the deliberations between Zuma and Museveni.

The South African president is in the throes of an unprecedented leadership challenge with three members of his Cabinet calling for him to stand down.

It is hardly surprising in the circumstances that he is reluctant to speak to journalists.
