]]> President-elect Donald Trump believes Boeing is doing a number on the American people. He’s called for the government to cancel a deal with Boeing for development of the next generation of Air Force One, citing concerns that it will cost more than four billion dollars.

The giant aircraft maker says it has a $170 million dollar contract with the US Air Force and looks forward to working to delivering the best planes for the President and the best value for the American taxpayers.

Donald Trump doesn’t say where he got his figures from.

The Air Force signed deals with Boeing in this year  to design certain aspects of the new presidential aircraft, including its interior, electrical and power system, and maintenance systems.

The contract’s worth $170 million.

The military hasn’t awarded a contract to assemble future planes.

Trump says he wants Boeing to make money, but not the $4 billion he mentions in a tweet.
