]]> There’s no indication of casualties and the number of children missing from a school on the top floor of a residential building that collapsed this morning in Nigeria’s commercial capital, Lagos.

Television images show rescuers desperately working through piles of concrete blocks and metal reinforcing bars.

Speaking unofficially say they’re looking for at least ten primary and nursery school children. But police on scene admit they have no reliable number.

Neither have they any indication of why the three-three-story building on Lagos island collapsed.

There were at least 100 people in the building at the time.

Multiple deaths are feared.

Survivors, covered in dust, have been carried through crowds of wailing parents and curious onlookers.

Rescuers are finding it tough getting their equipment to the site of the disaster.
