Nigeria’s  government agency fighting trafficking says the victims were found while trying to board a plane from Lagos to Moscow.

The children, who were unaccompanied, are now in a shelter for victims of trafficking which run by the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.

Five other potential victims, also children, were stopped from boarding a flight to Russia when staff noticed they had one-way tickets.

According to the UN’s agency for migration, most of the potential sex trafficking victims arriving in Italy by sea are Nigerian.

]]> Zimbabwe’s missed any chance of playing in the 2018 Football World Cup without kicking a ball.

South Africa’s northern neighbour’s been booted out of qualifying for the Moscow football fest because it failed to pay its coach.

World football governing body Fifa says its acted against Zimbabwe because coach Jose Claudinei Georgini hasn’t been paid – despite giving the Warriors a grace period to clear the bad debt.

The African zone qualifiers kick off in October. The tournament draw will be made made in St Petersburg next July.

It’s come close a few times, but Zimbabwe’s never qualified for the World Cup.

Georgia, a Brazilian national nicknamed Valinhos, managed the national team from January to November 2008.

He has been owed money ever since and cash-strapped Zifa was first ordered by Fifa three years ago to pay him.

The Ghanaians says they’re Muslims who’s face persecution if they go home.

The Accra authorities counter that there’s no religious violence in Ghana

Ends intro,

Brazilian police says the group seeking political asylum are part of a Ghana government-sponsored delegation, mainly comprising supporters of the governing party.

Ghana’s deputy information minister Felix Kwakye Ofusu says the basis for the asylum request is completely false.

Ghana’s Africa’s most democratic country. It has political freedom, prosperity and no religious conflict.

Ghana’s diplomatic mission in Brazil has been instructed to liaise with the authorities to investigate the matter.

The Brazilian authorities believe many of the Ghanaians are looking for the right to work legally in that country.
