Yusuf  Dingyadi, who made the insulting remark is a former reporter  the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Yusuf Dingadi made his statement as US Secretary of State John Kerry prepares to visit to Sokoto, widely recognised as the centre of Islam in Nigeria.

Dingadi comes from Sokoto.

He says there’s nothing to celebrate in the forthcoming visit of an infidel to Sokoto.

He calls it a fraud and accuses Kerry of working for Jews of the West .

A barrage of criticism from outraged Nigerians, has followed his remarks.

They deplore what they’re calling  a shocking case of religious extremism and intolerance.
