All eight Presidential candidates are on the re-run election ballot paper

Kenya’s indpendent electoral commission’s decided all eight candidates from August’s overturned presidential poll will appear on the ballot paper for the re-run election in a fortnight’s time.

Political violence has sprung up as supporters of opposition candidate Raila Odinga, who’s withdrawn from the race, protest against the prospect of Uhuru Kenyatta scoring a runaway victory.

Raila Odinga has not completed the paperwork following his decision to bow out of the re-run election on October 26.

So there’s room for second thoughts.

Police used teargas against his supporters protesting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s refusal to make concessions that Odinga believes are necessary for free and fair election after the August poll result was annulled by Kenya’s Supreme Court.
